Good morning!
Today is a National Holiday in Greenland...it also happens to be my Name Day! I am about 20 km from Sisimiut, my first destination. I am ahead of schedule...my hotel reservation in Sisimiut is for tomorrow, so I will celebrate my name day in a cabin overlooking a beautiful lake today.
Yesterday I had to tackle 4 or 5 river crossings. I am thankful that these crossings are much better this year than they were last year! It rained a good part of the night and into this morning, when I began today's leg of the trip at 4:30am. I said it rained until about 7:00am. However, now the weather has cleared up and I said I may even take a little dip in the lake later!!
Tomorrow I will continue my trek to Sisimiut where I will stay for a couple of days before I take a boat to the icebergs!
